A contract must be filed
whenever and wherever you
work.
Working without a contract
makes it impossible for your
union to protect you! All SSDC
Collectively Bargained Agreements
and Special Contracts protect your
property rights, right of first
refusal, and electronic rights. If
you do not file a contract, you are
giving up these rights. If you have
any questions regarding rights
and protections, contact us at

Regional Commercial Agreement

As of January 1, 2007 producers wishing to hire SSDC members for commercial productions in 100-499 seat theatres outside NYC must use the Regional Commercial Agreement (RCA).

This is a promulgated agreement (like the Special Contact), not collectively bargained.

The SSDC member must be sure that:

1) SSDC Contract Representatives are notified of the activity with enough notice to ensure that the producer posts bond prior to the first rehearsal and

2) That the contract is completely executed and filed with SSDC prior to the commencement of rehearsals.

Regional Commercial contracts WILL NOT be accepted by SSDC if received after the commencement of rehearsals, and SSDC members may be subject to fines for working without a filed contract.
